An authentic vintage tribal rug from the central Middle Atlas mountain range which bears the distinctive dark red wool of the area, in this case it’s almost maroon. Using the materials she had to hand the weaver has woven a soft and varied wool pile onto a firm base of re-purposed cottons and in places little knots and threads of the base peek through the hand spun wool. The lovely red hues vary and undulate throughout, and there are areas where the wool pile has worn softly - yet the rug remains in good condition
