Deep in variated colour, this glorious vintage rug from central Morocco has tightly woven knots of hand-spun wool and it is a rug that would have provided some warmth during mountain winters. The clear and deep red colour variations are vibrant and arise from the weaver using different batches of wool as she created the carpet. The 100% pure wool pile is soft and glossy and of varying lengths due to soft wear. This is a glamorous carpet and is in good condition with some mending on the edges and a small area (stabilised) damage on one corner. The fringe has some slight unravelling
