With a snowy charm, this large contemporary Berber rug is woven in fine hand-spun wool with an unusual looped pile. Against a natural warm butter-cream background, the weaver has introduced lozenges and other symbols typical of the ancient Berber language, in soft lilac and gentle undyed dark ash brown wool. In nice condition with one small natural mark on the front and a few subtle marks on the back, it is finished at one and with a plaited fringe and at the other with loose knots
