This original charcoal, rosy pink, and purple Berber carpet is almost 7m long. Often woven for more affluent local families, large and heavy rugs like this were prized heirlooms and do not often come on to the market. The 100% pure wool handspun pile is soft and cosy, and is a medium height. The unusual composition combines a relatively formal central motif with a meandering lozenge network with embedded little star and diamond motifs. With some restorations, of which some of subtle visible, this rug is in lovely vintage condition
