This large and original rug dating from around about the 2000s is woven in natural hand-spun pure cream wool, with the pattern woven in dyed black wool. The beautiful composition is based on a honeycomb-like lattice, with strong visual elements and with lovely finishing at both ends (one with a hand-plaited fringe). The strong black border adds to the dramatic aspect of this unusual and grand carpet. In nice vintage condition, the rug is pliant and loosely woven, with 3-4 little henna and other marks in the body and some simple marks on the back
