Dating from about the 1970s, this original and rare Boujad rug has a flamboyant and wild side along with the lovely idiosyncrasies that mark out authentic old Berber rugs; in this case an ordered symmetrical lozenge network gives way to loose, fluid symbols placed randomly in the design. Woven in cotton and mixed fibres, with wear and a beautiful aged patina
