A beautiful 100% pure wool carpet from the Western Middle Atlas mountain ranges that features deep red, with intricate and ordered motifs woven in red-tinted cream, tangerine, and charcoal. The design is wonderfully complex, focused on three chains of delicate lozenge symbols, and continues within a full border of eight-pointed star symbols. In lovely condition with some very small repairs at the edges and some nibbling into the fringe, the weaver trimmed the knotted wool pile to a firm and low density
