A soft and pliant 1970s-80s rug from central western Morocco, created in pure wool in undulating and sun-faded tones of magenta on a cotton base. Created as a simple sleeping mat, it has a graphic simplicity, dominated by large organic lozenge symbols. There are three areas of visible repair where the weaver or subsequent owners have used contrasting tangerine and black wool to reconstruct the knotted pile
