A lovely example of weaving from the east of Morocco, this vintage Aït Bou Ichaouen flatweave carpet has a relatively ordered lozenge network design filled with smaller motifs that represent a combination of male square motifs and female lozenge formations. Woven in magenta and plum, with motifs in green, purple, orange, yellow, charcoal, and cream, this old rug is in nice condition with a number of small original repairs throughout the body. Woven 100% wool.
