We sourced this circa 1970s Azilal rug on a trip into southern Morocco. While it features some beautiful and classic characteristics of rugs from the region (soft and silky cream wool contrasted with cotton) it also contains old and much less-seen Berber motifs running down the centre of its composition. The wool is soft and silky and the cotton used for the composition retains much of its vibrant colour. There is a little pile wear in one place and two visible restorations - one on each edge
